About Wendy Wunstell
Wendy's Whimsical Angels
of South Louisiana--
Wendy is a native Louisianaian who was born and raised on the lovely bayous of South Louisiana--about 45 minutes from New Orleans. Recently, she rekindled her love of creating and forged a spiritual outlet to tell stories through art. Please take a peek at her galleries.
Wendy strives to be a hippie warrior of love as she pursues life and her passions with vigor.
"The Heartbroken Hippie" Angel is her predominant subject. Her angels are often wounded but are unable to perceive injury. The suggestion is that happiness and true bliss are found within. The perception of injury is an illusion of the human mind--only love is real.
There are rock and other music references in quite a bit of her work that pay homage to legends.
Unconditional love (11:11) themes incite her romantic nature and this is also something she wishes to portray more in the future. She would liked to think that something so beautiful actually exists. In any case, romantic art pieces will be a frequent focus as she branches out to test other mediums of art and self expression.
Love and exploring spirituality are her two basic foundations for these art pieces (her intention anyway) which is her own soul's prescribed therapy. Look for the story.
The nudity is not for the sake of eroticism, but to show vulnerability and to have the subject be fully exposed--metaphorically speaking. Her intention is not to be vulgar, but to show the fragility of humanity along with the relentless determination of inner spirit.
Peace, Love, And Light!
Thank you.
